I have ,000 that I am looking to invest. This is just a part of my lifetime savings but I want to see it grow quicker in the long term. I am just wondering would it be wise to invest in the stock market these days with the way the economy is right now? I have the stock market for dummies book lol and I would play a virtual stock market game before I started investing, but before I even start that would I be wasting my time? Would a fidelity index fund or a vanguard mutual fund be worth my time?
