Help with my options for a Roth IRA?

Ok, so I started a ROTH IRA today with Ameritrade. I funded it. Now I’m at the point of trade. Keep in mind I’m a newborn to this, I was wondering if I divided my funds between 2 ETFs am I considered "Diverse" until I put more funds in to buy other securities such as bonds, cds, mutual funds(which I will probably invest less because I’m in my prime(late 20s)). I am researching through the ameritrade site and investing for dummies by the way. Any other advice for me? I’m chosing to go with the ETFs chosen by Suze Orman. My funds are equal to 00. Thanks in Advance.
I’m going to do lump sum investing, once a year.

I need a mentor who has time they can give; advice on investments. Please Read Below.?

First I would like to say that I am looking for a trustworthy mentor who has peoples best interest at heart. I am a young ambitious 18 year old who desires to live financially free. I have researched about the market. I have watched CNBC daily instead of watching mtv. I have read Rich Dad Poor Dad which was a very influential book which I think triggered my thirst for financial independence. I now am determined to increase my financial intelligence. I have read stock investing for dummies and I am currently reading ‘the only investment guide you’ll ever need – Andrew Tobias. (I am aware that in the road of investing you must continue to learn new things because in todays era, change is common. So the title is by no means represents my frame of mind.) Anyways I really just would like to ask someone specific, detailed questions about certain steps I should take on this path. No questions like should I buy or sell in this company? But just questions on strategies, techniques, in maximizing your profit & legal ways to avoid paying a load on taxes, steps in opening an account, which online broker should I chose and so forth. The reason why is that no matter how many books I read (I plan to read a lot more) I need the guideness and I need the experience in this field in order to become successful. Anyone who is a expert on stock market, real estate, accouting, finance, management, marketing & sales, and taxes. I would like to establish a relationship and begin this journey towards financial freedom! I feel the need to take up someones mantel in a way, or carry on their legacy. Thank you, for your support, time and efforts. It is greatly appreciated.

2 questions about ferrets…one weird and one probably stupid…?

oK, the weird question. will a reed diffuser bother the ferret? i’ve never had ferrets before and am getting one within 2 weeks and it will be in my room. i have a reed diffuser and i think it smells lovely but will it irritate the ferret? for those who don’t know, a reed diffuser is basically scented oil in a jar with reeds that soak up the oil to make the room smell nice. it’s like smokeless incense…sort of….more like liquid potpourri i guess

and the probably stupid question….i was re-reading the section in Ferrets For Dummies about ferret proofing and i noticed she didn’t mention anything about outlets. do ferrets just not care about outlets? i’m going to invest in some outlet covers regardless but i was still just curious

question ok microwave for dummies what do you think?

the auto defrost mode incorporate a scale to weigh whats put on the rotating platter so one touch operation when defrosting something in the microwave touch auto defrost then start button what do you think good idea ,next years model.would you buy one or am i making some big deal out of nothing.want to invest get the patents and walla.presto,change O.
i suppose they thought of that,probably easier said then done.
or just a scale on top of the microwave for weighing the platter and its contents or some thing before putting in the microwave.KISS keep it simple stupid.not a bad motto.
Ya i am aware of the marking of weights on meat products and labels DA>!!!!!!!! frozen left overs that i never weighed or marked or labeled.????? now do you under stand. sorry i guess the question went a little bit over both of our heads.thanks for the shock wave so go for broke. .

Hello, I live in the US

What do you recommend for investing? I have no clue on how stock or anything works. Is there a good site handy which explains in more detail? Like Stocks for Dummies type of thing?

Saving accounts are not cutting it – What will turn a better profit for my savings? Should I go with a Credit Union instead of Bank of America? Please help – What are you doing and how has it worked for you?

what “exactly” is it that I'm buying when buying a stock from a company?

am I buying a part of the company? my purchase of a company stock is part of what keeps a company in business so to speak? am I correct? If the company succeeds, then I succeed? If they fail then I fail? Success and failure is determined daily? I’m with Sharebuilder. I can trade Monday to Friday I think between 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (I don’t know why there is a time specific). Does these hours determine a company’s sale for the day? If it’s good then the stock (trade?) I bought goes up or something? What I bought was a Wal Mart (WMT) stock by way of real-time trading. I guess there is a difference between investing and trading/real-time trading?

Any recommended books and or websites/forums I can get a better answer from outside of Yahoo Answers?

Would a “For Dummies” book series help regarding investing/trading/stocks?
