I am planning on going into investing. I have a little extra money and i’m still in college and i want to set up some sort of cushion for my future. I was thinking of investing but the thing is i have no idea what to do. I dont know how i can tell how much a share is, what kind of industries i should look at to invest in or how i even go about buying a share. Can someone please give me some professional advice on this because it is my money and i dont just want to throw it away. also other things i would like to know or get answered if you will is what should i be looking for when it comes to me buying stocks and stuff. Thanks a lot guys

since you are new comers to stock market, may i suggest you to go into this learning site:

This site is one of the best according to my opinion.
cheers, and happy learning.

Look at ETFs – exchange traded funds. They track numerous indexes and they are passive.
As most brokers cannot even beat the index, you can ride the index and not worry about the next "hot" market. You lower your risk and still gain a good bit. Look at index funds that cover the entire stock market, or specific indexes like the S&P 500, NASDAQ, NYSE, etc.

hi there !!

I sense that you are a newbie to stock-market and that you do not have much knowledge about stockmarket.

So I would like to suggest you gnutrade learning center which will help you what is the stockmarket all about? how to trade the markets? analyze the market movements, understand when to sell when to buy….

I sincerely advise you try trading the markets with play money and then once you are confident then go ahead with real money investments…. Diversify your investment … so that you can be on safe side not risky your hard-earned money..

all the best
